Travel Market Report (TMR) and the Association of Canadian Travel Agents (ACTA) are delighted to announce today that the annual Travel Market Place West conference returns live to Vancouver from March 31 to April 1, 2022 and will be held at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and the Douglas.
Over two action-packed days, agents learn from dynamic industry speakers how to become more profitable while keeping today’s consumers happy on topics like sales, marketing, social media, and more. However, Travel Market Place is not limited to training sessions! Travel Market Place includes a trade show with top industry vendors, one-on-one meetings for top advisors, and other networking events to further promote business development and strengthen industry relationships between agencies and suppliers.
“Our last conference took place on March 10 and 11, 2020, just before the closure of Canada and the world. It will be an honor and a pleasure for Travel Market Report and ACTA to welcome you right where we left off at the beautiful JW PARQ in Vancouver!” said Anne Marie Moebes, editor of Travel Market Report. “Our industry may be a little different, but we’re smarter and stronger because we’ve worked hard and persevered through the toughest time to ever hit our industry. Now is the time to celebrate our resilience, to network together and learn all the updates on destination, products, health and safety.
“We really look forward to participating in Travel Market Place and especially to being able to network with industry leaders, travel agents and travel suppliers again,” said Wendy Paradis, President of ACTA. “The travel industry has been through tremendous upheaval and this will be a great opportunity to learn new tools and develop new skills that will help us rebuild. ACTA is pleased to partner with this event with Travel Marketplace in 2022.”
ACTA agents can attend for only $99 and non-ACTA agents are welcome for a $129 fee. Both rates include show admission, access to training and networking opportunities, and most conference meals and events.
During the planning process, we work with our event partners to ensure that we can host an event that is both meaningful and safe. Our decision to host a live, in-person event is based on our firm belief that it is in the best interest of the agency community and our industry to hold important conversations about the future of business in person. We consider the health and safety of our attendees our top priority and will take the necessary steps to ensure that we follow all guidelines set out by the World Health Organization as well as local government.
