Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Holds Fall Gathering in Illinois | Way of life


BUCKLEY, ILLINOIS – The Danville area of ​​the Central District of Illinois of the Lutheran League of Missionary Women (LWML) hosted their fall rally on September 14, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Buckley, under the theme “Anything is possible with FAITH” Mark 9:23.

Rally Co-Chairs Ruth Biggs and Cindy Wyckoff and their committee welcomed 8 pastors, 51 members and 3 guests, including special guests, District President Laura Strattman, District Pastoral Counselor, Reverend Michael Mohr, CID President -LCMS, the Reverend Mark Miller, the Zone Councilor. Reverend Michael Stoerger, Zone President Marlene Schultz, Zone Vice President Shirley Schleef and Zone Secretary-Treasurer Carol Schuldt.

The LWML is an auxiliary of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Its purpose is to “serve the Lord with joy” by sharing the saving faith of Jesus Christ throughout the United States and the world. The guest speaker who helped carry out this mission was Susan Brunkow, National Vice President for Christian Life of LWML, who addressed the assembly on keeping Jesus at the center of our lives and how the use of resources found on the website and application of LWML can help us do this.

Newly elected zone officer, President Carol Schuldt was installed by Central Illinois District Councilor, Reverend Michael Mohr. Newly elected Secretary / Treasurer Debbie Lammle will be installed later.

The Lutheran Trinity Church, Cissna Park, will host the gathering in 2022,
