If anyone on your flight tests positive for Covid-19, each passenger on the flight will be quarantined for 14 days. In addition to the above fees, each visitor will be charged $ 30 for accommodation, $ 30 for meals, $ 15 (Rs 1,140) for laundry and cleaning, $ 6 (Rs 460) for hospital staff who looks after you and $ 3 (Rs 230) for security personnel to keep the quarantine facilities. Each traveler will be charged this amount for each quarantine day. It adds up quickly and you can expect to pay as much as $ 1,281 (Rs 97,520) including Covid-19 testing during the 14-day quarantine. You will get back the remaining amount.
People who test positive for Covid-19 when they arrive in Cambodia will see things get even more expensive. The fee includes a hospital room charge of $ 30 per day and an additional $ 150 (Rs 11,420) for hospital services and medications. You will need to pass a minimum of four Covid-19 tests ($ 400 or Rs.30,450). Patients could also be charged additional emergency and consultation fees for any other pre-existing condition requiring the attention of medical staff. And, just in case things don’t go so well for you, Cambodian authorities will set aside $ 1,500 (Rs 114,200) of your deposit for burial costs.
