For some time now, sneakerheads have been clamoring for a retro Taxi 12. And although the Jumpman hasn’t quite been delivered, they will soon be offering a relatively similar colorway: the Air Jordan 12 “Royalty”.
The base itself is rather faithful, adopting a black and pebble tip and a base in drummed leather and dressed in white. Elsewhere, the tongue follows suit, affixed adjacent with the same golden gear hooks. But aside from the swappable black laces, the changes start with the logos, their neutral color replaced by gold finishes. In addition, the brand nameplate along the lower midsole is also replaced, matching the royal themes of the aforementioned details.
For a more in-depth look at the current version, see below. These are currently scheduled to arrive on October 9 at Nike SNKRS and the usual retailers.
In other news, Nike has registered the Air Jordan 1 brand.
